As your Approved Adoption Practitioner I play many roles in your life, and in the adoption process. Your adoption will start with a private consultation that will outline the "the good, the bad and the ugly" of adoption.  Part of the requirement to adopt is to take a Parent Resources for Information, Development and Education (PRIDE) course. I am a PRIDE trainer and would welcome you to take my courses. They can be found on my blog adoptionservices.blogspot.com The home study will be the next step. It is my job to guide you from the first steps through to the approval process.  As your adoption professional it is my role to complete your SAFE home study. This will be done in a quick and professional manner. The average home study takes me about 2 months to complete. As an adoption professional I also deal with birth parents who are making an adoption plan for their child. I provide birth parent counselling, and all other adoption related matters. Part of my role is to link you with other adoption professional that are needed in your adoption. This may include adoption licensee or international agency that has a program in your chosen country.
